Found in the wild in CA when I was on vacation. Though it was a pretty cool looking car. Had to Google it up when I got home. When I first looked it up the resulting images made me think it was a fake badges, come to find out it wasn't. My wife looked at me as though I was nuts as I walked around it taking pictures and admiring it. She really has no idea how deep my car lust goes. The specs are pretty kickass, a V-8 in this little car? Taken from wiki:

It's listed in Wiki as a Qvale Mangusta with a 4.6L Ford Cobra SVT V8. Still pretty cool.

Mangusta? Megusta.
Not really, kinda not my style. A lot.
Although, if the weight was right, I bet it would be damn fun to hoon

I thought those were Qvale Mangustas, not DeTomaso's.

Strictly going off Wiki here but says it was badged for NA as the DeTomaso. Reliable source?... Today I will give it the benefit of the doubt.

Saw one of these in yellow yesterday! Love the weird mirrors. And the weird everything else.

I'd rather have the original Mangusta.

"...looked at me as though I was nuts as I walked around it taking pictures and admiring it. She really has no idea how deep my car lust goes"
Isn't this the story of all of us?

Agreed 100%, but I did not see one of those in the wild.

Ah, well Wiki knows best, haha. There's also a yellow one in the Upstate of SC I've seen driven on occasion.

Someone should probably fix the Wikipedia article. DeTomaso wouldn't lend its name to the car in the U.S. market, which is why the name "Qvale" was hastily applied. There aren't a ton of Qvale Mangustas in the U.S., but of those that are on our shores, the "DeTomaso" badge swap is fairly common.

This is what the Mustang should have been. Also, relevant:
